CISCO's work culture is open and inclusive.
Open: There are no barriers or inherent hierarchy that limits an employee from reaching out to peers or seniors. The culture encourages collaboration and learning, giving employees a place to broaden their horizons in terms of their skills and knowledge.
Inclusive: CISCO believes in an inclusive environment where everyone gets an equal opportunity to grow and develop. It is not only inclusive in terms of people but also in terms of growth in recreational activities like sports and arts. It is quite difficult to find such a culture in other companies in India.
Awesome benefits: The benefits provided by CISCO are by far the best that I have known. The benefits include health coverage for family (yourself, spouse, children, and parents or in-laws), which is quite rare compared to other companies' health benefits. There is a free gym, periodic health checkups for yourself, family, and parents, and extremely well-maintained sports facilities for shuttle, cricket, volleyball, and basketball, among others. It supports tuition fee refunds for any education or course you take.
Good personal and professional life balance: The work culture is flexible and allows employees to maintain a balanced personal and professional life. Managers are very understanding, and in general, the management encourages employees to ensure a good balance in work and personal life.
The hike and promotion cycle is fixed. The employee has to finish a certain period of time before being considered for a hike or promotion.
This doesn't correspond to the work done by him/her.
The interview started with a face-to-face round where the interviewer asked about my previous project experience, my role in the team, challenges faced, and how I solved them. They also asked a few technical concepts related to automation, JavaScrip
First Round: OA (Online Assessment) It has aptitude questions and CS core subject questions, mainly focusing on Computer Networks. It has two DSA questions: * A grid-based question using recursion and a Trie. * A graph-based question. Both DS
The experience was really good overall. Although certain questions seemed irrelevant, like file system architecture, it was overall a good mix of OS, DBMS, and computer network fundamentals. Thank you for your time.
