Pros

Flexible work location, life/work balance, good amount of PTO, and sometimes a decent bonus.

Some very smart people, and some decent managers.

Loads of training available. Can be challenging work.

Cons

Morale gets lower each year, with huge layoffs every year in August. Lots of people are looking over their shoulders. It's very top-heavy, with too many managers/directors, etc., and not enough rank and file, which gets depleted more and more each year. The company can't decide what it is anymore: a networking company or a security company, or if they should try to buy yet another cloud-based startup in an attempt to catch up with the competition.

Advice to Management

Look around and see what your employees are feeling. Many are scared, doing the work of two to three people by themselves. Keep up with the cost of living in regards to salary.
