A political battleground; not a place for a productive software engineer who wants to work sincerely and get work done. It's just a battleground for political managers and directors (dime a dozen) who want to bask in their own ego, save their own jobs somehow, and try to act like they influence a lot of things. The reality is that all decisions get taken from San Jose and get percolated through. It is like a big boys' club at all times. Many first-line and second-line managers are worthless.
Just resign and stay away from engineering.
You folks should join BSNL or something.
