Lots of runway to get projects off the ground, if management wouldn't ground the projects.
Too big of a company to get out of their own way. Management hinders the process and does not help grow the company or individual engineers. To further the issue, there were no checks and balances between what VPs were asking and what management was telling you to do. Micromanagement could be a real issue.
You have some really talented engineers. Listen to them!
