It's a rare Silicon Valley tech company which is made up of grown-ups. Also, technology keeps changing, and Cisco's portfolio is broad enough that there's always some part of the company that's leading the way in its own area.
I love the quarterly "day for me" holidays, but I really, REALLY dislike the forced PTO days at Christmas and this year, at 4th of July too.
PTO should be at will, not on specific dates. If it's on specific dates, then it's disingenuous to call it PTO.
