Cons

Very slow growth both personally and professionally.

  • The pay is peanuts.
  • Market reference/survey / MRR is just eyewash.
  • Lot of politics to get a hike and promo.
  • If you are in a BU that is not doing new features (going end of life/support), you might not grow at all!
  • From the last 3.5 years, only 1 appraisal cycle happened.
  • Now, in May 2019, when a cycle is happening, it will be effective August 2019.
  • Next year, if it happens, it will only be in Oct 2020.
Advice to Management

Increase the salary of the current employer, rather than losing current talent by paying much more to get talent from a competitor.
