1. So many proprietary tools are used for coding.
2. So many levels of hierarchy make it difficult to gain visibility.
3. No appraisals for the first two years. Then, if you are excellent, you might get up to a 10% appraisal from the third year onwards.
4. Variable pay is a myth. It all depends: if they offered you a high package, they will for sure pay you only 50% of your variable pay and make nonsensical excuses. If they have given you a less package, then they will give you at least 100% variable pay.
5. As per Cisco, it has spent $2 billion in labs, but I have always found a shortage of equipment for the completion of my development activities.
