Cisco is still a network equipment branch, from the outsider's view. The company continues to make customers believe in its leadership in the router/switches market.
In building the core software, Cisco gives priority to politics and release deadlines instead of delivering quality software in a model approach. Middle management staff are mostly from a specific ethnic group. They are more interested in their personal success than the success of the company.
Many of the software managers may be knowledgeable in their domain software. But a lot of them lack the basic skill of interacting with people, not to talk of their poor management of their technical staff. I wish Cisco well in the future. But the current trend of software development in the company is sinking to the bottom of an ocean quickly. I am speaking from an insider's view.
An OA (Online Assessment) is auto-generated just after application. Then, based on performance on the OA, you get a reach-out. These are followed by rounds such as technical, behavioral, and screening rounds. The screening is followed by technical ro
All technical questions: Domain knowledge: * Computer networks (How to get an IP address? What is PCIe? What is Ping?) C programming language: * Linked lists (Add node to the tail) * Bit manipulation (Function for set bit)
I completed two phone interviews. They asked basic questions, and nothing was too difficult. The interview mostly focused on past experience. It seemed a little impersonal, almost as if they were reading from a script.
