The pay is above average when comparing with other R&D centers of similar-sized foreign companies in China. Unlike most other Chinese companies, overtime work is not common. It is a pleasure to work with professional colleagues. Managers are supportive.
Strict with travel costs. Used collaboration tools heavily to avoid traveling.
No travel allowance if traveling abroad. Just cover all the actual costs of accommodation, dinner, and transportation.
Career opportunities for software QA engineers are not as good as for software engineers.
Be more realistic when transitioning from a waterfall development process to an agile process. The best practices of other companies do not always apply to this company. Listen more to first-line engineers about how to work in the agile way that fits them best.
