Some newer senior management hires don't seem to fit with previous Cisco culture, and often come from the same business (mates hiring mates), poisoning the culture pool.

Somewhat regular layoffs (though I hear the redundancy pay is decent).

Occasional short-notice business demands/projects can be stressful at times.

Avoid allowing senior management to pull people into the business that they've worked with in the past. Especially with the Indian culture (no offense intended, it's a common behavioral trait stemming from the work ethics in that region), you tend to build a layer of "yes men" under a single source of power, which often results in going against the Cisco culture.
