Everybody in engineering is technical, including the senior managers. Therefore, you have so many opportunities to learn from people and develop as an engineer. Engineering sits and works very closely with the business and is basically part of the business area itself. There is a very healthy relationship with the business, and the business sees technology as a key enablement to the business itself.

Cons: In some areas, there is a lot of legacy code. In general, there are a lot of concrete steps being taken to uplift this and move to a better place, but it is a big challenge.

Pros: A fast-paced company with a huge investment in technology. I have had the chance to use a wide variety of open-source technology to deliver projects. Very smart and interesting colleagues and an atmosphere that enables you to learn a huge amount very quickly. Big emphasis on technical and financial training, if you're interested in it.
