The product is really good. The engineering teams are really top-level. Most people embrace the culture and values. Pay is (in my mind) good.
The product is quite complex. Great flexibility in how things are implemented means that there's a lot of different approaches, which can sometimes make work difficult. High performance is expected of absolutely everyone and is enforced. This is the one thing I consistently talk to when people ask me about Clio, because I don't think most people realize how much will be asked of them.
Overall, I love working at Clio. It's been a very rewarding experience, and I love having so much freedom and room to grow.
I'd recommend better setting up the stage for the more difficult conversations (mandated Anchor Days), as it felt quite poorly done.
I had a phone screen call and a video chat with the hiring manager. Both interviews were in the same week, and I really recommend it. The overall process was very transparent and fast. The recruiter and hiring manager were super pleasant and engage
Decent coding exercise where you are allowed to Google. A system design question, which seems a bit extreme for an entry-level role. They want you to go into a lot of depth, so make sure you can explain every choice you make.
Had a call with the recruiter, and then the second round was technical. One coding interview (LeetCode easy) and system design. Overall, they were friendly. Didn't make it past the technical rounds. Be sure to use time wisely in technical rounds.
