Being a leader in Hadoop, it is not uncommon to find engineers who are active in the open source community.
Compensation is excellent. All the usual benefits of being a tech firm in Silicon Valley are present, such as paid lunches, micro-kitchens with snacks, unlimited vacation, and the list goes on.
People are very friendly, and politics is at a minimum. Excellent place to work.
