I was able to skip to the onsite interview due to a referral. The process consisted of:

• One system design interview
• A hiring manager (behavioral) interview
• Two pair programming interviews

I performed well on the system design, hiring manager, and my second pair programming interview. However, I struggled on the first pair programming interview. The interviewer arrived late, experienced technical issues, left early, and seemed impatient.

I was surprised not to receive an offer, especially after performing well on most of the interviews. It appears an offer is contingent on acing all four interviews.

After waiting nearly two weeks for a reply, I received a generic rejection email without further details. This experience suggests the company may not have an effective candidate recruitment process. If a candidate falters at any point, they are rejected regardless of other positive data points. This is a significant red flag, as it doesn't provide insight into how candidates perform under pressure.
