Interview Process

• Tailored interview process for specific roles. I interviewed for a senior front-end role and was tested on practical skills pertaining to my role rather than brain teasers, etc.
• Folks are constantly iterating on the interview process to make sure the candidates have a great experience.

Engineering

• Very inclusive and collaborative engineering mindset. Members of other teams are happy and willing to get together and help with anything.
• Immense focus on reducing duplicate efforts and code sharing, especially now that the org is growing.
• Teaching culture. Everyone is encouraged to lead code schools, and there are weekly talks by external speakers (technical and non-technical).
• Tons of support and encouragement from other engineering teams to lead initiatives.

General Culture

• Very authentic and humble people.
• Everyone, especially leadership, is bought into the mission of creating an open financial system for the world, and it shows in day-to-day interactions and decisions.
• Immense focus on creating a diverse work environment with varying perspectives.
• Transparency. Weekly AMAs (Ask Me Anything) hosted by leadership across all orgs.

Growing pains, as with any company growing quickly. However, proactive initiatives are constantly put in place to mitigate many of these.
