Pros

Deep pockets, willing to play for the long haul and invest, committed to reshaping themselves to meet the coming changes of the industry and the markets.

Cons

I'm not sure that dedication maps to the internal competition they create and the internal culture they tolerate. This is clearly to foster innovation because they have no effective external competition in their core business, only disruptors eroding away their user base.

Advice to Management

FOCUS. Too many chiefs driving too many boats in too many conflicting directions. There is no way to gain concurrency of urgency. Everyone believes they're already working on the most important thing, so cross-organizational collaboration is almost nil.
