I found the interview process at Coupang to be quite disorganized and unstructured. While the HR team outlines the process as divided into four distinct areas:
- Coding
- Behavior
- System Design
- Bar Raiser
my experience revealed a different reality. Each round felt like a mix of two or more focus areas, leaving little time to adequately address any single aspect.
For example, during one interview, I was given just 25 minutes to solve four medium-level LeetCode problems and only 10 minutes for the System Design discussion, as the interviewer arrived 20 minutes late. This lack of time made it challenging to showcase my skills effectively.
Overall, I would recommend anyone reading this to prepare for a fast-paced environment where time management is crucial, but also be aware of the potential for an unstructured interview experience.
