A recruiter reached out to me and set up a telephonic screening with one of the engineers on their team. There was a reschedule at the last minute, so somebody else conducted the interview.
After the interviewer introduced himself and explained about the company, he asked a very simple algorithm question. I wrote the solution on the shared HackerRank link. He then asked me to run it for different inputs, and it worked fine. He said this was good and asked if I had any questions for him. After that, he mentioned that I had saved 10 minutes of interview time and logged off.
The next day, the recruiter replied, "We are not moving forward because your coding was not up to the mark." What?!
