Process

The interview process began with a basic phone interview with the hiring manager, followed by a technical interview with a senior engineer.

They reviewed my experience and skill sets, asking many common software development and Linux OS questions.

Both interviewers were easy to talk to, and I enjoyed our conversations. I passed both interviews with no missed questions.

Unfortunately, I never heard back after the interviews.

Passionate teams working on very interesting problems

Senior Software Engineer • Former Employee

Portland, Maine, United States

September 26, 2024

Pros: CrowdStrike is filled with intelligent engineers. It’s one of the most sophisticated distributed systems I’ve had the pleasure of working on, and the scale is fascinating to build around. Management is very proactive about growth and development. There are endless opportunities to learn and tackle interesting problems. Teams collaborate well and work together to solve problems.

Cons: CrowdStrike is at the forefront of its domain, and that comes with pressure to maintain that position. The workload can feel heavy, but I believe that’s to be expected given the momentum CrowdStrike is moving.

Laid off without being offered an internal transfer

Senior Software Engineer • Former Employee

Boise, Idaho, United States

Pros: Good coworkers and a worthwhile mission

Cons: Management is inconsistent in their stated goals. For as much training as we got about insider threats, disgruntled employees seems to not be an issue of concern.
