Process

I gave an interview in Pune.

The recruiter called me first and gave brief information about the company. They conducted 5 rounds of interviews.

  1. In the first interview, they asked for my old projects and what kind of technologies I was aware of (approx. 60 minutes).

  2. Then I was given a 4-hour coding test to solve 2 problems out of 3. One was a data structure problem (LRU implementation), the second was a thread implementation, and the third was another data structure problem (stack implementation).

  3. The coding round was followed by a code review, where panelists asked me about the algorithms used in problem-solving and general code review-related questions (approx. 60 minutes).

  4. They scheduled one more round for Design problem-solving, which I solved, and the interviewer was happy with the solution (approx. 60 minutes).

  5. It was a manager round, and they mainly asked about the reason behind changing companies and my interest in the work. They also gave more details about the work and the project for which the job interview was scheduled (approx. 60 minutes).

After all rounds, there was no update from HR. I called HR back for feedback after 5 days and received a response stating they had selected another candidate who was under the interview process I had completed. They would mostly go with that option.

I don't know if they are really searching for candidates or just showing they have some free job openings during this COVID time.
