Pros: Hard work is rewarded. Incredibly talented, caring, intelligent colleagues, many of whom will jump in to help. Everyday is a new challenge, never boring or repetitive. Fast growth, both for the company and career-wise. Get to use Databricks for free! Doesn't feel like a job most of the time despite it being challenging. If you love Analytics, Data, & AI, you'll love working at Databricks and teaching customers about Databricks and helping them solve interesting use cases every day.

Cons: Growth rate outpaces hiring, and sometimes can result in teams without direct supervisors, or employees with too large a book of business for periods of time. Travel may be a lot more than anticipated depending on the customer or role. Customers will schedule meetings at the last minute, often without checking your availability, which may be a challenge for work-life balance. Some HR practices, such as for internal transfer promotions, feel like carryovers from a small startup versus what would be expected from an organization with this many employees today.

Pros: A very dynamic place where achievements are recognized and celebrated. Great product and engineering plus PM teams. International, open, diversity. Very curious and engaged colleagues in all aspects of the industry.

Cons: Finding work-life balance can be a challenge. The company at times moves so fast (growth, processes, product, etc.) that it feels like it's tripping over its own (hyper-ambitious) legs.

Pros: Tech is innovative, and the FE team is mostly talented. If you’re lucky enough to have a fair and supportive manager, you’ll feel valued, and your experience will be drastically different—maybe even rewarding!

Cons: If you’re a woman, do NOT expect recognition, career growth, or fair treatment unless you’re part of the “inner circle.” If you’re not in the inner circle, you’re disposable—no matter how hard you work. Work-life balance is a joke—you’ll be grinding late nights and weekends with zero downtime. The burnout is real, and the long-term damage isn’t worth it. Constant org changes create chaos, and the toxic dynamic between AEs and SAs only makes things worse!
