Pros
  • Growth is top-tier; the IPO will be big.
  • Strong engineering culture.
  • Leadership (and the company as a whole) is more transparent than any company I have ever worked for.
  • Hackathon every quarter, which is a great way for engineers to work on things they want to.
  • Extremely competitive healthcare, benefits, and pay.
Cons
  • No 401k match.
  • Onboarding remotely was a little isolating.
Advice to Management

If fully remote (or hybrid) work will continue into the future, don't think that things are going well just because velocity is up. Look for innovative ways to keep the company engaged.

Keeping the transparency as the company grows will be challenging, but it truly is a differentiator, so be creative to find ways to preserve the culture.

Look into 401k match and consider ways to provide replacement benefits/perks given the remote environment.

Adding friction to the hiring process is not good if it doesn't increase signal. It is hard for me to give a strong recommendation to friends because the interview process is so arduous.
