Engineering Manager Interview Experience - Paris, France

Process

I was contacted by a recruiter (I did not apply). I had three first interviews on-site in Paris. The last one was via video call:

  • Code interview (cache implementation)
  • Design interview (or so-called)
  • General and architecture (talk about past projects)
  • General discussion

All interviews were conducted in English.

I was rejected, which is not a problem; that's life. However, I did not apply for the job (I was sourced by a recruiter) and I took the time to visit them. It would have been nice and respectful to have received feedback on the reasons for rejection. Unfortunately, the recruiter has not responded, which is a shame.

Well, run away. A company that does not want to give feedback is a place to avoid.
