People are helpful, friendly, and smart. My area of the company has good work/life balance (though this depends on the team).
The company has a very strong brand and is a recognized leader in the space. You are allowed and expected to have strong ownership of your product area. Great autonomy - you can decide how to build your product.
Most teams have on-call rotations, and some teams have a much bigger burden than others. Lots of things are in flux, as the company has been growing quickly. Many responsibilities are pushed down to teams that really should be handled by common/infrastructure teams. Development can be slow because development infrastructure is lacking. Stock compensation depends on the market, and in a downswing (like now), that can be brutal.
Invest in common infrastructure and get the right management for those teams. Make sure they are customer-focused and communicate well inside the org.
Too much burden is being placed on teams to do it all, and that risks slowing the company down.
