Process

We start with an interview to get to know each other, introduce the company, and ask for more personal details. This is also when they assess your English level (fluency is important).

After that, they send a repository with a NodeJS application and instructions in the README. These instructions include how to run it, some application details, and finally, a task list.

One endpoint to implement and another to fix.

Relatively simple, it required knowledge of ORM and Transactions.

After this, a new call is made with the Tech Leads of the team you are being considered for. They discuss your submission. They asked me about areas for improvement and asked a few more questions about SQL JOINs.

It's important to mention that I didn't exactly do what I thought would be the best solution. I did what was possible within the allotted time (they asked me to do it in less than 2 hours) and I wrote down what solution I would implement with more time.

Questions

The difference between LEFT JOIN and OUTER JOIN, for example.
