Process

I applied online.

The application form provided on the DeepL site is buggy and does not submit your details to the company. I filled it out correctly 3 times and checked with the company, but they hadn't received my details or CV.

There is no general contact for recruitment or HR on their site—you have to contact individuals via LinkedIn, which is cumbersome and weird. You have to guess which person you should contact directly and hope they reply. I was told to contact a specific person via LinkedIn regarding my application.

You need to have LinkedIn Premium to send a message to them directly, as there is no way to connect to them—which is just crazy. I messaged them, but 10 days later I haven't got a response. I don't expect to.

They are inviting people to apply for their open roles, but make it extremely hard to do so. If the first step of the recruitment process is this painful and difficult, then I hate to think how bad the rest of it must be.

Questions

They asked me to contact a specific person on LinkedIn to find out if they had my CV.
