Process

I had attended interviews with this company three times. They keep posting requirements for a PL/SQL Developer, and these requirements come through consultancies. The job descriptions are pathetic; they don't provide details of the required skills or responsibilities. Even the consultancies are unsure about the positions. They simply say your resume has been shortlisted and to attend the interview, as head count matters to them.

  1. The first time, they asked me to write a test in SQL/PL-SQL, which I did well. Afterward, I was asked to leave for the day.
  2. The second time I went, the interview panel took my resume and asked, "Where is performance tuning in your resume?" They never conducted an interview and told me to leave for the day.
  3. The third time, I asked the consultancy about the job description. They said, "You can just attend; it's just PL-SQL developer." When I went in, the questions were about partitions, performance tuning, and backup recovery. The interviewer then asked me about my DBA experience. When I said I don't have experience as a DBA, he simply said to leave for the day. He also asked me, "Have you worked with large tables that have terabytes of data and millions of records?" Come on, each business varies in requirements; not all can be the same as Dell. He also gave feedback saying he wants a person working extensively on 12c administration. Why didn't he mention this on the job description? A person who doesn't know the difference between a PL/SQL Developer and a DBA is an interviewer, and his name is Girish. The attitude of these technical panelists is bad.

The above requirements come through consultancies like UST Global and Collaberra Technologies. The positions keep reappearing, and none of them provide a clear picture of what is expected in the interview. Even Dell itself does not share the technical skills required. The consultancies will keep calling you until you arrive at the venue, prioritizing their head count of people attending. After rejection, they never respond or provide feedback.

I have a strong doubt if these interviews are fake and if people who get selected are let go immediately within a month. Never waste your time attending interviews with these people where you don't get selected. I will never attend any interview with this company located in Domlur DivyaShree Greens.
