Pros

I was there for 15 years, so they did something right.

Cons

Reduction in force was grossly mismanaged. Promises were made that they did not live up to. Very poor communication. Corporate goals were ineptly redefined every 3-9 months.

Advice to Management

If you're going to lay off US employees in favor of cost-saving offshore resources, bring the offshore people online for 30 days along with the people they'll be replacing. It allows those being let go (each with 10+ years of experience) to seek other opportunities within the company, ramps up the new force, and doesn't leave in a bind the services and sales people who are being supported. Everyone let go was a seasoned professional; surely there were roles available for the talent.
