Good pay, good benefits, smart people to work with, and a technology leader.
Dell Technologies, the new name resulting from the merger of Dell and EMC, presents a culture clash between two tech firms. Dell has a relaxed, telecommuting culture, encourages taking time off to recharge, and is closed for the Christmas holidays to spend time with family. EMC management wears how little vacation they take as a badge of honor and expects you to do the same. If you are taking vacation, it implies you don't work hard. If you have to take vacation, you should take your phone and laptop with you. It's a "if you're not in the office to be seen, you're not working" culture. EMC management scoffs at the idea a company would give employees time off for Christmas. There is no work-life balance if you land in a storage position. Look for a job on the server side of the business.
Cross-pollinate management. Tell Dell's survey about how Dell is to work at. It's too easy for first-line managers to figure out who's got an issue, although anonymous.
