Pros

Brand Name...

Some good people, some very good projects. Defined policies for everything. Good for people who might want relaxation and work-life balance.

Cons

Politics... you can only grow if you know how to butter your managers.

No employee engagement initiatives. No festivals are celebrated. Forget about any gifts. Onsite opportunities and promotions go to the favorites of the manager. Policies change day in and day out. No appraisal. Making Dell private was the last nail in the coffin. High attrition rate due to lack of future clarity. Useless mandatory trainings. No growth opportunity. Frequent layoff lists.

Advice to Management

Listen to employees... Connect with employees... Listen to what they want... Appreciate performance... Bring in meritocracy... Stop training people on useless things... There's a long way to go to make it better...
