Three months into the current year, and I have already been in three weeks of training where the company is paying for certifications in the cloud.
More training is expected.
I also work with some of the best and brightest in the industry.
They have generous PTO and are known for throwing in all the time after Christmas as free days off, which they did last year and this year.
Every place has its cons. They don't call it work for nothing. It really kind of depends on your boss and how things are run. There were some times when longer hours were required, but excluding recent training that was more of a boot camp training style, the last time I had to do extra overtime was maybe 5 years ago. Again, different group and situation.
