Process

I applied to this position online and received a call from the recruiter. The recruiter was very friendly and provided excellent information regarding the team and the position, and later scheduled the first round of interviews. It went really well. Within 30 minutes after the interview, I received an email from the recruiter stating that the interviewer was very interested in moving forward for the final interview.

The final interview was scheduled for five days later and consisted of four rounds. The first three rounds went very well, and the interviewers were nice and helpful throughout the process. Then came the final round for that day, which was a horrible experience throughout my career.

The final round was with the hiring manager, who was rude to me throughout the interview. He asked me one coding question, which I solved quickly. He then asked me another coding question, where I got stuck and couldn't come up with the logic quickly. While I was thinking, he kept saying, "Why are you taking so much time? Answer quick." The way he spoke to me suggested I was already working under him.

Ultimately, I was unable to solve the problem. He then said he had prepared only a few questions and couldn't think of any others. He asked if I had any questions. I asked him a few, and in all his answers, he degraded the company I am currently working for, comparing it to DocuSign and saying DocuSign has much higher standards.

I felt bad after the interview, not because I failed to answer one problem, but because of the hiring manager's behavior. While I agree that every employee can be proud of their employer, there is absolutely no need to degrade other companies. I am glad I did not end up in this role, but I will surely apply to DocuSign in the future because I have received very positive feedback from friends who are currently working there.
