A fabulous place to be, for many reasons
Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee
Seattle, Washington, United States
March 30, 2015
Pros: You get to be immersed in an energetic environment, with great leadership and direction.
In engineering, there are great problems to solve with a fun, seasoned team.
You get to ship software at a rate that is aggressive but not too aggressive, and without the red tape.
Cons: There's certainly no shortage of things to do. That can be overwhelming.
And, the culture can be too aggressive for some, and the energy can be over the top for some, I suppose. I like both aspects, though.

Good jobs, bad managers
Senior Software Engineer • Former Employee

Pros: Pay is competitive. The day-to-day job is satisfying.
Cons: Lack of diversity. There are unlucky organizations having managers who embrace managing with fear.

Cool Tech, Bad Raises
Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee
Seattle, Washington, United States
October 22, 2016
Pros: Energy, expanding business, good direction, challenging projects, some cool technologies, lots of areas to make a contribution, evolving APIs, solid back-end components, great coworkers, different approaches to projects, mostly Microsoft stack, some pretty neat side benefits like:
* 2-3 lunches per week
* Snacks
* Drinks
* Kegs
* Occasional group outings
Cons: Trust in the team sometimes vanishes when the stakes and risks elevate.
Pay raises are abysmal or just don't exist.
The company has been pre-IPO for what seems like an eternity; you'll tire telling your friends.
I sometimes hear more inter-departmental feuding than I'd care for; it feels unprofessional.
