Don't waste your time interviewing here.
I spent 4 hours in a panel round interview with Docusign. They left me with only 20 minutes to complete both coding and design system challenges.
Most of the time, I felt like I was being interrogated about how agile tech companies work. This left the impression that:
a) they're using candidates to figure out how to run a tech company, and
b) they were looking for someone who would fit into a role there and operate like a cog in a machine.
When I pushed back on their in-office policy, I received a mix of answers, but it seems they are adamant about forcing people in (e.g., remote workers are being pushed to move closer to an office). This is absurd, considering most tech companies now are remote-first.
Also, they just hired a Diversity & Inclusion officer. The company is nearly 20 years old, and this is a huge red flag in my opinion. Throughout my entire interview process, all the engineers I spoke with were male and predominantly white.
How did you handle deployments at past companies?
Did you use agile methodology?
