Process

I applied through their careers site. A recruiter reached out within a couple of weeks. We had a decent chat about my experience and they gave me a good overview of what to expect and what I was interviewing for.

This was followed up by a HackerRank exercise. It's a fairly detailed feature to implement, but given some thought and time, it can be done.

I would suggest preparing data structure fundamentals for this exercise. It's in line with most of what has been said in the previous posts.

Onsite was 4 virtual rounds + 1 hour round.

  • Behavioral round: This round was with a senior manager discussing 3-4 behavioral aspects. It was very engaging and I liked this interview. Make sure you have good supporting points and reasoning for your choice of story.
  • Technical Deep Dive: This round involved me explaining one of the projects that I felt was the most challenging and the one I could explain end to end. The interviewer was nice, and we had a good chat about various aspects of the project and the improvements we could make.
  • Object Oriented Design: This was basically designing a real-world system using OOD. Initially, I didn't do very well in terms of grasping the problem, but as I started laying out objects and moved further into the discussion (the interviewer was helpful in guiding me), I was able to design a somewhat fair structure.
  • Coding challenge: It's a DK-related game with a set of challenges to achieve. Most of them are straightforward except for a couple that are tricky. I struggled a bit understanding a couple of the features towards the end, but discussing with the interviewer helped me approach it successfully.
  • HR round: This was just an overview round with the HR (who I was in touch with for the whole process).

All in all, it was a good experience with the interview process. I am really excited about their products and the industry, so I didn't hesitate accepting the offer.

Good luck!
