I was reached out to via LinkedIn and went through their interview process.
The whole process was quick, which was good, but I was disappointed by their technical phone screen.
They asked me a question regarding downloading chunks of data in a distributed environment. I thought I was applying for a frontend position, so this question was highly irrelevant.
I did my best, talked about data structures and trade-offs, but the interviewer didn't offer me any hints.
The interviewer told me he's fresh out of college and has been working on backend systems at Dropbox for one year. Go figure.
Overall, it was a terrible experience.
