A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and invited me to schedule a tech screen after a short intro call.
A couple of days before the tech screen date, I received a standard "Thank you for applying" rejection email, and the calendar invite was deleted. I didn't even bother to email the recruiter.
However, an engineer still called me to conduct a tech screen at the originally set time. I emailed the recruiter afterward but received no reply. 🤷♂️
