I had a phone interview after initially talking with the recruiter. The recruiter came back saying, "Can we have one more phone interview as we are not able to judge you?" I said fine, but even after the second interview went well, I was rejected. My initial reaction is that they asked a junior engineer to conduct the phone interview, and they were not up to the mark.

Great people and product, terrible leadership

Pros: You will work with some of the best people you'll meet in your career.
A product you can feel good working on, knowing customers like it and you aren't taking advantage of them.
Standard, top-of-the-line tech benefits and pay.
Cons: - Leadership is truly, without exaggerating, terrible. They simply do not know how to move forward or what they are doing.
- Career progression past mid-level is extremely team dependent and difficult.
- Lots of reorgs, general lack of stability, constant churning of leaders in key roles.

Pros: - Decent compensation.
- Top-notch benefits.
- Remote-first culture.
- Folks from L1 to L5 are pretty good; they are talented and kind.
Cons: - Leadership (specifically the new VPs of EPD, yes, we have new VPs for Engineering, Product, and Design) is clueless.
- Core: Has nothing interesting to do, and the Engineering LT in Core has an extremely low hiring bar.
- Dash: Talented people, decent LT, no idea how to make people pay for Dash.
- Career growth is almost impossible, especially L4 onwards, unless you are buddies with the right people.

Pros: PPO and HMO options available.
Cons: For Anthem, Dropbox has picked Rightway as the pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) and has opted to not cover GLP-1 medications. Rightway is known to convince employers to not cover these benefits. Dropbox would rather save money than provide comprehensive care.
