It was a decent place to work before 2020. I really enjoyed working with the staff. The founders and CFOs are great!
The managers they hired during shelter in place did not understand the culture.
Serious politics where the bros get ahead and are promoted for being the manager's favorite.
Do not trust HR or the diversity initiatives. People are promoted if they are well liked, and those people undermine the people doing the work.
Females are hired below their appropriate job level, and reviews are full of manager bias. The criteria for leveling up is if your manager likes your personality or, in my case, if you just agree with all of the bad decisions he makes based on opinions of non-experts.
It was very demoralizing to tolerate the unprofessional banter and blatant exclusion.
If you are female, it is very likely you will be passed over for promotion while your male co-workers get ahead.
Upper management needs to hold middle managers accountable. Listen to long-term, loyal employees when they tell you their manager is lying and retaliating.
This was my dream job that turned into a nightmare that set my career back. And this is due to one manager and a few bad actors.
Stop letting middle managers get away with biased reviews. Hold them accountable and stop letting them blame others for their failures. Loyal employees do not make things up when they say their manager is lying and undermining them. Managers should do their job and support their reports' careers rather than focus on their own careers. Investigate resumes better.
And do not promise someone that if they report bad behavior it will not set their career back unless you actually mean it. Be transparent and honest.
I was there for almost 5 years. I am over 50 and was the only female on the team. Managers should check their egos at the door and allow every voice to be heard rather than tell people to stay quiet. Innovation does not happen when you only listen to your favorite reports.
Very pleasant interview experience. The process was pretty typical: * A conversation with a recruiter. * A technical phone screen. * An on-site interview, which was split over two days. This was nice in a way, but it also drew the process out.
The interview process begins with an HR interview, followed by two technical rounds. The first technical round focuses on writing code, and the second is for code review. Both rounds are 1 hour long.
The interview process consisted of a phone screen, followed by a two-part technical interview, and then a final round. The technical interviews were around LeetCode medium difficulty. It was not a super hard interview, but you should have some sens
