The idea behind the role and its purpose was something I could get behind.
Lack of transparency in policy and process changes.
Processes changed multiple times in a week with no notice or indication why this was happening.
Passive-aggressive leadership, gaslighting, manipulation, and being told if you're not happy here, you are welcome to leave when questioning a new process or asking for clarification.
Public humiliation in front of team members, being called out for mistakes. Many of us were incredibly anxious in this role. The constant criticism (eye-rolling by management and leadership, loud exhaling, etc.) with almost no positive reinforcement or positive feedback, and the micromanaging were unbearable.
When asked how we can be supported better, we provide actionable items, but there is never follow-through.
We can be let go at a moment's notice, no matter how long we have been there.
1 round HR chat, 1 round pair coding. After I reviewed the question, it was actually not very difficult, but I was nervous in the interview. I finally worked out the result as expected but still failed in this round. Sad.
Straightforward OA and LC questions. Standard Codesignal General Coding Assessment. As for LC, just basic graph traversals and string/array manipulation should be enough. Behavioral was a little short though, so didn't get to share much. Overall,
Easy unproctored CodeSignal. A quick 15-minute behavioral interview where I was asked a maximum of 4 questions about previous experiences. No software experience was expected for either the technical or behavioral interview.
