Focus on retaining R&D employees, as they are easy to lose when they don't feel appreciated.
It is very costly to onboard new ones. Dynatrace is a very big product; it takes at least a year to get to know the corners of it.
The compensation being stuck at one figure for years, unless you jump out of your skin, is a disastrous factor for retention.
