Pros

Shut down days are great. Decent initial OTE.

Cons

No career path from SMB -> Commercial -> Enterprise for SAs.

Middle management leaves a lot to be desired.

Annual comp increases are trivial.

Three vastly different products to sell.

Security and Observability solutions aren't best in class.

Extremely technical and not straightforward to kickoff a POC.

Support is a joke, and CSE only engaged with small, month-to-month customers.

This makes the SA responsible for all these things.

The search solution was a little different; we definitely seemed to have an advantage in that market.

I'm extremely concerned now that AWS has released serverless OpenSearch.

ESS (Elastic Cloud) can't even autoscale to a larger CPU.

Lastly, there's the laying off 13% of the entire org. 90% of everyone in Austin was let go.

Company has core values, but those are only optional.
