Pros: Playing Games! Japanese bosses seem devoid of emotion, but they actually fight for your welfare (i.e., better overtime or holiday pay).

Cons: Playing games – no, seriously. Playing for leisure is all fun and games, but when your job is to test extremely buggy alpha and beta versions with the difficulty set at "you're-gonna-die-every-five-minutes," it's not surprising to hear cries of rage from members of the QA team. My colleague once threw an Xbox controller at the wall after failing an impossible race when testing a title in the Need for Speed series.
