Pay is ok. The people I worked with were amazing. I had some really cool work automating workflows. My direct supervisors and other team leads many times were super supportive.
Lack of clear leadership by upper management.
Difficult to convert to RFT even though supported by all direct managers.
HR is a nightmare to deal with; they need to take courses in communication and how to be professional. They shouldn’t be ghosting internal applicants mid-interview or any applicants for that matter.
Make PE take ethics and integrity courses so they treat current and future employees with dignity and respect. It is not that hard to communicate.
I understand you want to save money, but moving jobs into cheaper markets outside North America is not the way to do it.
The interview process was not very difficult. You should know the basic concepts in testing and agile practices. They will ask about different testing methodologies. Mention one occasion when you researched something new.
