I worked at EA before, and worked other places for a while, and returned to EA. First of all, the salary is very competitive. Also, you can get the best benefits in the game business. After all my experience from other companies, I decided to come back because EA was very good.
If you work on a sports game, the dev cycle will be every year, so it's very tight. Other than that, I think it is very normal for all other game companies. I would say EA has cons, but it's not just for EA; it's a game business problem.
