Pros

EA treats its employees well internally. It handled the COVID-19 situation exceptionally well with programs for time off and home office expense compensation.

Work-life balance is good; I haven't seen much overtime in the last few years.

Overall compensation, including stock and annual performance bonuses, is competitive.

Having several teams working on the same internal engine allows for good collaboration with teams from other studios. Developers are keen on helping each other.

Cons

Despite great efforts and improvements in the last years, Frostbite's user experience for content developers is not on par with public engines (Unity & Unreal).

EA is a heavy machine where it's hard to innovate, thus the difficulty to create new IPs.

Advice to Management

Smaller ambitions for new IPs and build on success.
