Pros: Epic is great for someone who gets bored easily. Even when I'm doing similar types of tasks, I'm doing them in different areas and with different people. I get a lot of variety, and most teams are large enough that you'll have someone who likes the things you dislike to trade off with. In general, my colleagues are smart and want to do the right things. You never get the work equivalent of that kid in your group project at school who lets everyone else do the work. The facilities are great: offices (not open office!), nice surroundings (art, underground parking), and an awesome culinary team (with subsidized meals). I rarely work more than 45 hours/week, and even then, I do it with flexibility around my hours, in comfy clothes, and with a feeling that I'm making a difference.

Cons: Epic doesn't require you to be a workaholic, but we won't stop you. Some people seem to struggle with setting boundaries for themselves and won't say no, even when it would be reasonable.

Pros: Culture, mission, benefits, salary, coworkers

Cons: Can be a lot of traveling for certain roles.

Pros: Fun people and a beautiful campus. They pay well and compensate you with free food if you have to work late.

Cons: Leadership is hard. If you can't handle constructive criticism or just criticism, then this job may destroy you. QA has the lowest salary, but I'd say we work about as hard as everyone else.
