You get a phone interview where another software developer asks you about yourself, your experience programming, and your past and current projects. It is important that you express yourself clearly and effectively present your projects. I think it matters a lot to them. Also, considering that I was applying for a software development position, it is nice that you are talking to someone who is a developer themselves. It is overall very simple and quite friendly.
