I deeply regret working at Epic
Software Developer • Former Employee
Madison, Wisconsin, United States

Pros: I met some amazing friends and earned some good money.
Cons: I deeply regret staying at this company for as long as I did. If you absolutely must work there (and I do not recommend it), plan your exit as soon as you accept your offer. Don't languish for 3 years, let alone 5 or 10.
Some vocal employees like working there, but they are the exceptions. This place will churn through you, process you to death, and toss you away without a second thought.

Not bad for the area, or if you're just starting out
Software Developer • Current Employee

Pros: - High pay in a low COL area.
- Get to work with pretty talented people.
- At the top of their industry.
Cons: The tech stack they use is very bespoke, and development in it doesn't really reflect what web development is like in the rest of the industry.
Development can be slow and tedious.
Upper management is a black box and very old. Their response to the COVID crisis was really poor, and partly that was because of how out of touch management is.
