Software Developer Interview Experience

Process

I applied to Epic through Career Services. Initially, I received an email to fill out a Rembrandt profile, which was a quick, very generic IQ test. A couple of days later, I got another email to schedule a phone interview. This was also very generic, with resume-based questions and inquiries about my interest in working at Epic.

The next phase was an assessment round at my university. This programming round had five questions and was timed for two hours. After a week, I received an email regarding an onsite interview, and it took a while to get the dates fixed. I drove to Madison and stayed at the Concourse Hotel. I took a nice walking tour around Madison and gained some insights about the company and their working culture.

The next day, I had a jam-packed schedule until 3 PM, which included a software demonstration, a company overview, lunch with an employee, a presentation round (I had to present one of my projects), a few assessment tests (math and programming), and finally, an HR interview. That's pretty much about the interview phase.

It wasn't difficult, and I never felt like I was in an interview; things went casually. All the best, guys!! Epic seems to be doing a lot of things, and it's a fun environment too...
